Trip to the Farm

Walking through the tunnel we saw some great street art...
The goats were there to welcome us

At the farm Tim introduced us to Pepsi and Cookie, the new rabbits:

We looked at the ducks...
The goats loved us! Especially Miss Jenkinson...
We fed the chickens, even when they tried to peck our hands....

Tim told us all about the right way to feed the goats...

We were very brave!!!

 OUCH!

 These piglets are brand new!
Did you know? Piglets take 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days exactly to be born???

At Boiling Wells, Steph taught us about habitats

We had to discover different locations in the site..

 And stroked caterpillars!!

...and woodlice... and earthworms....

Phew! Time for lunch!

Food chains

We have been looking at food chains and habitats - what animals need to eat and who might want to eat them! How much can you remember from last week? Try these games to find out. We are going to be learning more about this on Thursday during our trip to the farm!

Tessellating Shapes

This week in Maths we are going to be tessellating 2D shapes. See which shapes will fit together in a pattern here. Can you make your own shapes that will tessellate?

It's all Greek to me!

There is so much to learn about the Ancient Greeks! In Literacy we are going to be looking at some of the exciting Myths and Legends from Greek history, and writing some playscripts to be set in ampitheatres. See if you can find out how ampitheatres worked by looking through this website.

Trip to City Farm

On Thursday 19th May Year 4 will be going to St Werburghs City Farm and the Boiling Wells conservation site. They will be learning all about habitats and food chains and the life cycles of all the animals that live there. (Letters going out to parents shortly!).
